Resourceful, energetic, and dedicated, multimedia communications professional with a passion for storytelling and an eye for detail. Drawing on my experience in journalism, communications, marketing, and the nonprofit sector, I help organizations grow and engage diverse audiences through compelling communications that celebrate the power of community and the impact of commitment.
Currently I serve as a communications and marketing associate for one of Birmingham, Alabama’s most treasured landmarks, Birmingham Botanical Garden.
For three years now, I’ve supported the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens with creating and implementing comprehensive and dynamic communication strategies and content that advances the Friends’ mission—to protect, nurture, and share Birmingham Botanical Gardens’ countless wonders. During my time here, I have helped the Friends launch a new website, earned a Hermes award in the videography category, published several pieces in their award-winning magazine, The Garden Dirt, served as interim editor for two publications, and reached over 2.2 million people on our social media, a 100% increase. Whether on or off the clock, you can find me exploring nature and soaking up every detail of the natural world with my camera in hand.
